not 100% sure if I want to leave these wings to hang loosely in my cabinet, or maybe if I want to display them in a dome or a box... I don't have a frame deep enough, but I do have the materials to make one. either way, something to sit on once I'm back home at the end of next month.
for my canada trip, I bought a relatively cheap point-and-shoot film camera - I brought my proper olympus om-10 to japan with me a few years ago, and I loved it very much, but this is going to be a much more fast-paced and outdoorsy trip and I don't want to risk damaging the poor old thing. I need something I can just carry around in my pocket and yank it out when I want to take a photo. I've ended up with the
kodak a1 snapic!! it's got some automatic features that will make things a little faster, but at the detriment of not being able to have as much control as I ususaly to over my photos. no big deal in the end; it's been fun to shoot with so far and I'm very excited to see how the film comes out.
i had the whole last week of the month off just because of the way some things lined up at work and it has been so lovely to just chill at home, catch up with friends, not have to worry about whatever chaos the clinic has descended into. lots of outdoor meandering. this is a veeeery much-needed break; i haven't had time away from work in a couple of years now. arrggg i'm so excited to go away!!
