this was a fun little project i got to cobble together! these beautiful crow eggs had been sitting on top of a temporary construction sign thing for a couple of months nearby my clinic, with unfortunately no parents ever returning. after the few months was up, they had to tear down the sign and brought the eggs into the clinic to see if there was anything we could do. unfortunately, not the case. rather than discard of them, i thought i'd chuck them in my cabinet somehow. i made sure they were absolutely 100% not fertilised, and then hollowed them out and sealed them up with some varnish. they kind of just sat there for a couple of weeks until i could come up with some kind of idea for them, and it was only when i was clearing out my wardrobe and found a bunch of fake twigs did i have the idea to make a nest and utelise my crow skull for display!

you can check out the design process below. it's nothing super exciting, it was really just a quick little DIY thing thrown together in a couple hours. i'd love to get this properly displayed in a dome of some sort in the future, but for now, i think this is pretty cool!
