welcome to my photography page! i am relatively new to photography in general; my dad was an apprentice photographer when he was younger and it's always been something that interested me, but i couldn't justify buying a big old camera for it. however! film photography really grabbed my attention, mostly for the mechanical aspect of it. i love having to manually adjust and think about things before just taking the photo and editing it later.

i have two cameras at the moment; the first is a gimmicky little fujifilm instax mini. yknow, the white bitch instagram girly camera. that's who i was. that kind of started it all! i like the unpredictability of how the photos would turn out. i no longer use the old instax mini, but nowdays have an instax mini evo, which is this ridiculous overpriced hybrid thing that you can digitally alter your frame and filters before taking and printing the photo. so silly. but a joy all the same, and nice to take with me if i think i want photos but don't want the whole setup that comes along with my real camera.

the second, and the love of my life, is an olympus om-10, purchased early 2024 from a nice lady on facebook marketplace. her husband had been holding onto it since 1986, but had decided to sell it becaue they were downsizing to move. they sold it to me with all the bells and whistles; a manual adaptor, a flash, a camera bag, some super expired film, three different lenses, and the original paper manual. it is my first real film camera and i am deeply attached to it.
